Over the years, the Lucas Theatre has been fortunate enough to hear from people about what they remember and love most about the Lucas. Some met here and are still married 40 years later. For some, it was a favorite place to work. For everyone, the Lucas has always been a special place. If you have a memory or story you want to share, post it here using the form below.

While at Hunter AFB, I met my wife on a blind date December 25, 1956. At the Lucas we saw "Hollywood or Bust" starring Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis.
We were married in Savannah February 1, 1958.

I love Lucas Theatre but I think it would be amazing if you would show silent films there every once in a while. Its such a beautiful building with great history...silent films would make it even more amazing.

My wife and I will be visiting Savannah the first week in April and would like very much to tour the Lucas theater. I was born and raised in Savannah and used to attend the Lucas as a boy frequently. It is one of my fondest memories of Savannah.

My father, Douglass M. Richard, was an usher at the Lucas when he was young. He visited there during restoration. He passed away in 1996; never saw the Lucas restored fully. He had hoped to go for the renovation reopening. I miss him! Deane
